Computer Science Engineering Apprentice (Start ASAP)

Your role

Responsibilities:

• Gather and evaluate user requirements seamlessly in collaboration with product managers and engineers.
• Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps.
• Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs, and widgets.
• Build page navigation buttons and search fields.
• Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look.
• Create original graphic designs (e. g. images, sketches, and tables).
• Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders.
• Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e. g. responsiveness).
• Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback.
• Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors, and images.

Requirements:

• Must be flexible, independent, and a self-starter who can work with little supervision.
• Love thinking creatively, being well organized, responsible, and dedicated to fulfilling multiple project requests while simultaneously meeting tight deadlines.
• Must experiment and learn new software to speed up and facilitate the design process.
• Must be receptive to constructive feedback and act to deliver creative output.
• Excited for a front-row seat in a fast-growing startup. Things will change a lot.
• Enjoy thinking through trade-offs, with both mindfulness of short-term needs and long-term direction.
• You are driven and care about doing a good job and improving your craft.
• You have a growth mindset, can keep up with the latest technology changes and trends, and suggest enhancements based on these.
• Most importantly, you're the kind of person who is friendly, approachable, ready to help others, and personally driven to put your best foot forward.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience with a directed focus on UI/UX.
• An online portfolio or samples of work showcasing your stunning aesthetic sense that allows you to understand your design skills is a must.
• Exposure across UI/UX design tools - Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Balsamiq, InVision, Sketch, Whimsical, Visio.
• Attention to detail is a must. They love the designers to be pixel-perfect-crazy.
• Exceptional sense of typography, imagery, colors, composition, and visual layouts.
• Ability to gracefully defend your design decisions to executive management.
• Stay abreast & implement recent developments in the design industry.

Eligibility

• Freshers – 2021/2022/2023 pass out batch only
• Eligibility – 65 % and above with no active backlogs
• With prior experience: Candidates with one (1) year of work experience are eligible provided they should not have registered under any statutory schemes (PF, Gratuity, etc.)
• The shortlisted candidate will be employed as an Apprentice for 6 months on a fixed stipend.
