We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist
Responsibilities
- Test engineer is also responsible for compliance with all relevant controls and standards Working with Ops and Dev Engineers to ensure operational issues (performance, operator intervention, alerting, design defect related issues, etc) and any design-related issues are identified during testing and addressed in a timely manner prior to implementation.
- Responsible to support the identification, root cause analysis and eradication of problems and incidents associated with the Technology service, as directed by the leadership of the DevOps team
- Automation requirements gathering and analysis
- Provide specialized expertise in test automation using commercially available functional test tools.
- Apply HSBC's recommended test automation framework and best practices.
- Responsible to plan, designing, developing, maintaining and executing all automated test scripts.
- Address strategic issues on an ad hoc basis that are complementary to the regular planning and analysis processes
- Apply technical expertise to deliver dedicated automation services to all projects while ensuring adherence to timelines as well as relevant standards and practices.
- Design and implement the testing framework, building function libraries, and object repositories
- Responsible for utilizing efficient and effective processes, standards and test metrics in order to continuously improve the test automation service.
- Evolve more predictive and intelligent testing approaches based on automation and innovative testing products and solutions
- Self-leading the transformation of testing into a continuous and efficient end to end quality development function using quality processes, tools, and methodologies significantly improving control, accuracy and integrity.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Good understanding of mobile banking, digital testing practices and different areas of commercial banking modules and other areas in the financial services domain.
- Testing knowledge - well versed in the preparation of test cases, test conditions and test scenarios and other test-related artifacts.
- Defect tracking and closure with all stakeholders should have experience in the testing tool QC and exposure to automated testing tools.
- Good experience in manual and/or automation testing
- The candidate should be having very good written & verbal communication skills
- Experience working in Agile, or knowledge of the key principles of the methodology
- Self-starter, who can work pro-actively with minimum supervision
